A nourishing and comforting broth that can be drunk on it's own or used as a chicken stock in plenty of other recipes.
Ingredients

1 chicken- either whole or as a carcass plus additional parts such as chicken necks, chicken feet or chicken wings if desired

2 large peeled carrots

2 celery stalks

1 tablespoon of nutritional yeast

2-4 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar

1 teaspoon of kelp powder or 1 tablespoon of dulce flakes

1/2 teaspoon of salt
-
1/2 teaspoon of black pepper

2 bay leaves
Method

Place the chicken and chicken parts (if using) into a large slow cooker

Rinse and peel carrots and rinse celery, chop into large chunks and add to the slow cooker

Add the nutritional yeast, apple cider vinegar and herbs to the slow cooker.

Cover the chicken with cold filtered water.

Turn the slow cooker onto low and leave for at least 12 hours

Serve straight from the pot or store in glass jars or bottles in the refrigerator and reheat on the stove.
